Ciutadella

Known officially as Ciutadella de Menorca, is the former commercial and cultural capital of Menorca located on the west coast of the island. With Roman origins dating back to the second century, the city is steeped in history and features a magnificent old town area surrounded by the Contramurada where the original city walls once stood. As the second largest city on the island, it is a major residential and commercial hub that offers a sophisticated atmosphere filled with historical architecture, cultural landmarks, and a vibrant nightlife that often takes visitors by surprise.

The city serves as the closest point to the neighbouring island of Mallorca and maintains an active port with daily ferry services to Puerto de Alcudia. The entrance to the city is marked by a grand statue of a rearing stallion which symbolizes the famous Fiesta de San Juan celebrated every summer.
