Discover Son Bou

Home to the longest beach on Menorca, stretching for almost two miles along the central south coast within the district of Alaior. This expansive area of fine white sand is backed by a protected region of sand dunes and freshwater marshes which host a variety of local wildlife. The resort is famous for its natural beauty and the striking contrast between the clear blue sea and the dunes. Visitors entering the town will pass through a tunnel cut into the cliffs where inhabited caves can still be seen today. Access to the shore is provided by the main resort area.

The town features two commercial centers that provide essential services including supermarkets and tourist shops for holiday needs. While the atmosphere is generally relaxed and family friendly, the western end of the beach towards Santo Tomas is widely recognized as a popular area for nudists. Public transport connects the resort to the nearby town of Alaior, offering further links to the capital of Mahon and other parts of the island. Evening entertainment is typically centered around the local hotels, with a small disco available within the Son Jaime complex for those seeking later activities.
